It’s nursery time BABY! lol
I have had so many questions about the theme of our nursery. As of a few weeks ago, I wasn’t quite sure, but I soon decided on a Modern Bohemian Themed nursery. Yea, I knew I wanted this style nursery when I found out we were expecting our third child. Boy or Girl, this interior style fits across the board!
Tip 1. Choose a designated space. We chose to use our guest room and decided once the baby is big enough, he/she will either move in with our daughter or our son, so we wanted to make this space easily transformable into a luxurious yet tranquil guest room.
Tip 2. Start an inspirational collage. One of the best ways to do this while staying organized is on Pinterest. What is Pinterest? Pinterest is a social media network that allows users to visually share images/videos on a smaller scale. Users/Followers can then click/pin/post to their boards linking to other sites. You can then take elements of those images and incorporate into an entirely new look! Below are my inspirational photos for the Modern Bohemian Nursery.
Tip 3 Start a Vision Board. Adding inspirational items to your board will help you keep track of not only your budget, but will help you collectively see the space with the items you love. and you can shop and buy as you please!
To describe this vision a little, I wanted this space to go from a nursery back to a guest room, so I added to a wall what I had always dreamt, shiplap. I decided to leave it unfinished to add a pop in the space, added lighting and an oversized framed wallpaper for visual interest. The dimmable sconce lighting adds a tranquil mood to the room which is what I LOVE most about this space. Deciding to add layered rugs adds warmth, depth, comfort to the space, as well as a special addition to the bohemian feel. The green fiddle leaf fig plant adds a lively pop of green to the room with a contrasting coral and white planter, just a cool and beautiful touch. White furniture with black hardware and dark black/brown shelves to keep the space feeling uniform, along with the stylish yet cute African Basket Bassinet! Lastly, we picked llamas as the bedroom theme as they symbolize strength, perseverance, communication, confidence and often success, which we think is a great symbol for our new little addition.
